The security system has been installed but there is no schedule from city as to when it will be activated or when the passes will be sold.
PARK IS STILL FREE TO USE!

Thank you for your interest in the Royal Oak Animal Mission and the Mark Twain Dog Park.  We are happy to see there is so much interest in obtaining a pass to the park.

Unfortunately there was some information in the recent papers that was miss-quoted.  At this time, passes are not being sold.

Right now we are adding people to our contact list so that when the passes do go on sale, we can inform those who are interested.  The city of Royal Oak will be selling the passes at the city clerk’s office.   A copy of the application will be placed on our website so that people can fill it out and take it to the city clerk’s office to purchase their pass.

We are working with the city on the application and the waiver now.  Please note certain vaccinations and a dog licenses will be a requirement. The city is also going to be bidding out the pass system and will hopefully be installing it sometime in April, weather allowing.  The city will also be completing other construction: removal of the playground equipment; the completion of  the fence; extension and repair of the gravel parking lot; installation of an electrical transformer; and a storm sewer beehive.

For now the park will be open to all who come.  Please come and enjoy the park.  And remember to always clean up after yourself and your dog!!  We unfortunately cannot hire out a cleanup service to come out and clean up after everyone.

**Parking**

Under no circumstances – snow, ice, flood, fire – can the users of Mark Twain park their cars in the business parking lot right next to the park. This parking lot is to serve a business and must be used by the employees and by the clients, not Mark Twain patrons.

**Fence Update**

Although a portion is only temporary, the park is now totally enclosed. Thank you to Action Fence for their work done to make this happen.
